McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Looking to get back to back Northwest Conference wins for the Wildcats on Sunday, September 23
rd. Unfortunately, that would not be the case as the Lutes of Pacific Lutheran would take the match with a score of 1-0.
The Wildcats and Lutes ended the first half at 0-0. Pacific Lutheran led in shots with nine compared to Linfield's three.
In the 48
th minute Pacific Lutheran got on the board when Maddie Landreth took a ball off a rebound from the top of the box and knocked it into the back-left corner. All scoring would stop there for the Wildcats and Lutes.
However, Linfield made a few strong pushes late in the second half.
Madi Reimer made six saves in goal for the Wildcats allowing just one goal. The 'Cats totaled eight shots, two of which were on goal in the match up.
