Josh Davis starts off his coaching career with Linfield in the win column sweeping New Rochelle 3-0 and Mills of California 3-0 at the Oregon Trail Classic.

Taylor Petersen pounded eight kills without an error,
Regan Dean delivered a team high 10 kills and
Audrey Hyem provided nine more to help the Wildcats overpower the Angels in the first match of the season for both squads.
Mattie Kelly passed out 20 assists and dug five balls to aid the Wildcats' cause. In all the 'Cats were crisp on the serve, picking up eight aces in the match. In contrast, the Angels managed just two.
Linfield hit .243 at the net to New Rochelle .028.

Taylor Souza scooped up 22 digs while adding one ace.
Mills
Hannah Waterman lead the way for the Wildcats with 12 kills and 12 digs.
Lori Cimmiyotti delivered seven kills without an error and a percentage of .438.
Mattie Kelly continued to be successful for Linfield dishing out 33 assists and five digs. Meanwhile
Shannon Stoller was nails at the serving line acing Mills five times. As a whole the Wildcats picked up 15 service aces to the Cyclones three.

Saturday the Wildcats will continue to compete in the Oregon Trail Classic against Illinois Tech and Johnson & Wales in Newberg, Ore.
