TOURNAMENT PREVIEW
The field is set. Host Linfield is joined by George Fox and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in McMinnville, Oregon, at Del Smith Stadium. A trip to the NCAA Super Regionals awaits the winner of the double-elimination tournament, one of 16 Division III softball regional tournaments going on this weekend across the country.
Linfield and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps both earned automatic berths after claiming conference tournament championships. George Fox received an at-large bid. The potential three-day tournament begins Friday afternoon and could stretch to Sunday if all three teams finish 1-1 after two days of head-to-head competition.
TICKETS
As this is a NCAA-sponsored event, admission will be charged at all games. Ticket prices are as follows:
Adults $10 per game or $25 for weekend pass
Students with ID $6 per game or $15 for weekend pass
Seniors and Veterans $7 per game
Kids 12 and Under $5 per game

Finishing the Northwest Conference slate in a deadlock with Yamhill County neighbor George Fox, Linfield earned a share of its 14th conference title. The Wildcats went on to claim the NWC Tournament crown, knocking off Whitworth, Pacific and George Fox in Newberg. Led by NWC Player of the Year Melanie Oord, the Wildcats feature one of the top-ranked offenses in the nation. With seven players named to the all-conference all-star rosters, Linfield looks to continue its hot-hitting in the postseason. From the pitching circle, Linfield ace Shelby Saylors is primary starter for the Wildcats. Saylors went 20-5 this spring on her way to first team all-NWC honors.
Linfield coach Jackson Vaughn has led the 'Cats to eight regional appearances and two national championships in 16 seasons.
The No. 1 vs No. 3 seed matchup is a rematch of the Wildcats' season opening game in which the Wildcats lost 7-0 at Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in Pomona, Calif.

Dominant throughout the NWC regular season, George Fox earned a share of the conference title after finishing tied with Linfield. George Fox qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament with an at-large bid. Conference Pitcher of the Year Madison Sorensen pitched her way to an incredible season with 155 strikeouts (25
th best in the nation) and the Bruins' head coach Jessica Hollen earned NWC Coach of the Year honors. George Fox leads the nation with more than 1.52 homers per game and 67 total team home runs. Winners of six of their last eight, the Bruins look to steal the McMinnville Regional from the home team, as the Wildcats swiped the NWC Tournament in Newberg.

Despite owning the best overall record in the SCIAC, the Athenas tied for third in the SCIAC regular season. A win over Pomona-Pitzer and a pair of 2-0 victories over La Verne gave CMS the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Led by SCIAC Pitcher of the Year Anna Gurr and first team pitcher Chloe Amarilla, the strength of the Athenas is their depth inside the circle. At the plate, freshman catcher Maddie Valdez become a a star in her first season. She leads the club with 36 RBI. First-year head coach Gina Oaks Garcia is no stranger to regional appearances. As a player at Division I Cal State Fullerton, she helped the Titans to four Big West Championships and four NCAA Regional appearances.
