McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Hoping to send their seniors out on a high note and derail Puget Sound's opportunity to go to the NCAA regional. The 'Cats took an early lead and looked to have the game won, but unfortunately the Loggers were able to score three unanswered goals.
Natalie Amara was able to get the Wildcats on the board in the ninth minute as she found the back of the net from just outside the box. Amara was a part of Linfield's second goal as well as she took a corner in the 37
th minute and found the head of
Amidee Colleknon to take the lead 2-0.
The Loggers cut the Wildcats lead in half when Gabbie Berg found the back of the net after the ball bounced around and she was able to get her head on it in the 75
th minute. Only two minutes later Puget Sound picked up their second goal as Lura Morton found the back of the net from eight yards out.
In the 85
th minute with a tied score the Loggers were able to pull away with the win as Morton took a pass from Berg and sent the ball into the upper left corner of the net.
Both teams managed to get seven shots off a piece the difference being five were on goal for the Loggers while the Wildcats had four.
