Wildcats top Eagles by 25 on the road

KIRKLAND, WASH. – On the evening of November 26th, the Linfield Wildcats (2-3) traveled to Northwest University (2-5) in the Kristi Brodin Pavilion. The Wildcats were able to pick up their second win of the season taking down the Eagles 85-60.  
 
'Cat stats
Molly Danielson picked up her fourth double-double of the season totaling 24 points and 10 rebounds. Counter-part Kory Oleson had a game high of 28 points going 9-19 from the field and was one rebound away from her own double-double. Cassidy Schutz and Hanna Bingham had a season-highs in points, Schutz with 11 and Bingham with 10.  All seven Wildcats were able to score for the second game in a row.
 
Eagles' box score
Northwest was led by Ellesse Fitzgerald and Miranda Langenhorst who each had 10 points. Alyz Fast and Andie Kristinat each added seven for the eagles. Six other Eagles were able to get on the stat line. Northwest was 25-68 from the field and five – 11 from the free-throw line. The Eagles were able to pull down 42 rebounds, 23 of them being defensive and 19 offensive rebounds.
 
1st Half
The Wildcats started out behind as the Eagles scored the first five points of the game. Kory Oleson was able to get Linfield on the board with a layup after two minutes of play. Linfield went on a five-point scoring spree after Molly Danielson and Cassidy Schutz hit back to back jumpers and cut the Eagles' lead to one-point heading into the second quarter. Hanna Bingham hit back-to-back free-throws for the Wildcats to take the lead. Linfield's nine-point scoring run put the 'Cats up by nine over the Eagles with one-minute left to play. Oleson grabbed a defensive rebound and went the length of the floor as the buzzer went off to extend the Linfield's lead to 13.
 
2nd Half
Linfield kept their momentum from the first half as Schutz and Bingham scored on back-to-back layups. The Eagles fought back in the beginning of the fourth quarter as they went on a six-point run however that only cut down the Wildcats' lead to 21 points. Linfield would continue to score and keep the Eagles at arms distance as they went on a five-point run to end the game with a 25-point difference.

The Wildcats open up conference play at home on Friday, November 30th against Pacific Lutheran at 6:00 p.m. in Ted Wilson Gymnasium.
