McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Picking up their fifth shutout win the Wildcats improve to 3-2-2 in Northwest Conference play.
Linfield came out ready to play in the homecoming game match up with Pacific as they got on the board in the 8
th minute when
Kristen Burke was able to cross the ball into the left side of the net passed the Boxers goal keeper.
In the 14
th minute
Sydney Kuehn extended the Wildcats lead to 2-0 after she took a shot from 18 yards out. One minute later
Carole Thomas got in the score sheet when she took a deflection and buried it into the back of the net.
The 'Cats would score one more time in the first half when
Kristen Burke nutmegged the Pacific defender and was able to drop a nice pass off to
Lexi Kerr for Linfield's fourth goal of the game.
Linfield was able to tack on another goal in the 71
st minute when
Sami Moellmer took a penalty kick and buried the ball in the upper right corner of the net.
In goal for the Wildcats
Madi Reimer picked up her fifth shutout and made four saves.
