McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield had its chances Sunday to secure its first Northwest Conference victory, but instead had to settle for a 1-1 tie with George Fox at McMinnville High School's Wortman Stadium.
1st Half
Linfield controlled play in the first half, outshooting George Fox 6-4, but it was the Bruins who drew first blood. Sean Owens scored his first goal of the season, slipping behind the defense and sending the ball past Wildcats goalkeeper
Eli Peckham at the 37:24 mark.
2nd Half
The 'Cats evened the match at 1 in the 66th minute when
Ryan Kister took a long feed from freshman Bryan Huyhn. It was Huyhn's first collegiate assist.
Both teams had their chances to snatch the victory the remainder of the second half and during both overtime sessions. Kister could have ended it early in the first overtime, when Linfield outshot George Fox 4-0, but attempts from close range either sailed wide or into the gloves of GFU netminder Andrew Phyllis.

Peckham made four saves, including a big rejection of an Owens shot in the second OT and a horizontal stop of a shot by Isaiah Carrillo late in the first half.

Sam Sinks nearly converted an aerial attempt in the first half but his potential one-timer was off the mark.
