Nick Cashmere enters into his first season on the Linfield men's soccer coaching staff in 2026.
Cashmere has coached at multiple levels throughout his career, emphasizing player development, competitive culture, and individual mentorship. Prior to joining Linfield, he served as head coach for NM Rapids SC while also leading the Santa Fe Indian School girls’ varsity program. Earlier coaching experience includes roles with SF Glens, SF Seals, Northwest United FC, Bellingham High School, Whatcom Community College, and Western Washington University, where he helped develop players through both team training and individualized instruction.
As a player, competed professionally for the San Jose Earthquakes Reserves (USL PDL), South African club FC Cape Town, Costa Rican club A.D. Guanacasteca, Seattle Sounders 2, Tacoma Stars (MASL), and NM Runners (MASL2), Santa Fe Gloom (NPFL). His playing career across outdoor and indoor soccer provides a broad perspective that influences his coaching philosophy and player development approach.
He holds a U.S. Soccer C License, U.S. Soccer Director of Coaching Certificate, and has completed U.S. Soccer’s Individual Player Development Process course. Cashmere is committed to creating competitive environments that challenge student-athletes while fostering character, accountability, and long-term growth both on and off the field.
Away from the field, Cashmere is passionate about mentorship, cycling, and building meaningful relationships that help student-athletes succeed throughout their collegiate experience.
