Krista Francisco-Sluss is in her sixth year as assistant certified athletic trainer at Linfield.
She provides medical care and coverage for more than a dozen Linfield sports programs, with primary in-season assignments in the sports of football, softball and women’s basketball.
She is responsible for maintaining the inventory of supplies and also oversees the electronic student-athlete records system. In addition, she leads athletic training courses and serves as a clinical instructor.
Prior to joining the Linfield staff, Francisco-Sluss was head athletic trainer at Fallbrook Union High School in Southern California. She also worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Lewis & Clark College and was a graduate assistant trainer at Portland State, where she completed a master’s degree in health studies in 2020.
Her hands-on experience also includes assisting the athletic training staff of the Portland Thunder of the Arena Football League.
A 2009 Linfield graduate, Francisco-Sluss earned a bachelor’s degree in athletic training before becoming a board certified ATC.
