Katie Higinbotham is in her first year as a member of the cross country and track & field coaching staff.
A 2017 Linfield graduate, Higinbotham lettered four seasons in both cross country and track & field. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in creative writing and went on to complete a master’s degree in the same discipline at Western Washington University in 2021.
A current member of the Linfield faculty, Higinbotham teaches various writing courses as an adjunct professor. She also serves as the Associate Director of the Writing Program, where she oversees the writing center staff and operations on both Linfield’s McMinnville and Portland campuses.
A native of Albany, she was a two-sport athlete at West Albany High School. She served as team captain of both the track & field and cross country programs. In cross country, she was honored with the most improved and most inspirational athlete awards as well as the team’s leadership award as a senior.
