Greg Hill has served a variety of roles since joining the Linfield staff in January 2000.
As Associate Head Athletic Trainer and Clinical Coordinator, Hill is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Treatment Center, the primary clinical site for athletic training. He provides medical care and coverage for more than a dozen Linfield sports programs, with primary in-season assignments of volleyball, men’s basketball and baseball.
Prior to joining the Linfield staff, Hill was the athletic trainer at McNary High School in Keizer, Oregon, and worked for Salem Hospital.
Hill completed a bachelor’s degree at Linfield in 1997 and went on to earn a master’s degree from Oregon State University in 2007.
His hands-on experiences outside of Linfield are numerous. They include USA Track and Field Olympic Trials, IAAFW Indoor World Championships and Junior Outdoor World Championships, USOC internship rotations at Colorado Springs and Chula Vista, USA Paralympic Swimming, USA Women’s Paralympic Goalball, USA Taekwondo Team Trials and numerous Oregon state high school championships.
Hill is active in the athletic training profession, serving in multiple roles at the state and regional level. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Oregon Board of Athletic Training and was President of the Oregon Athletic Trainers Society.
During his career, Hill has received awards at the state, regional and national level. Most recently, he was inducted into the Oregon Athletic Trainers’ Society in 2020.
Greg and his wife, Tonya, a 1998 Linfield graduate, reside in McMinnville where they are raising two children, Rin and Max.
