WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose Linfield because of the atmosphere and the community. The energy and the people are amazing, and I would love to surround myself with such positive and supportive people. Everyone was so welcoming and nice when I first stepped onto campus, and it felt like I could be my true self here. My culture felt represented here, whereas where I grew up it was never highlighted or even acknowledged so I appreciated how involved it finally was in this school. I loved every second of it and I can’t wait to make memorable memories and finally be able to call myself a Wildcat!
 
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete at Linfield means so much to me. I can see how passionate and hardworking everyone at Linfield is and I am so honored to be a part of such a determined and dedicated community. The girls on my team have been doing such an incredible job being inclusive and having such an upbringing spirit. Not only that, but they also emphasize the school in student- athlete. Prioritizing school but also being so dedicated and focused on being a better athlete is what Linfield is all about. I’m very excited about this journey and I’m so grateful to open up those books and also crush it on the court.
 
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has played a big role in my life and has shaped me into being such a dedicated and determined athlete and person. Being a part of a team and community that all share the same goals and values has helped push me to become the best version of myself. Becoming an athlete has shown me adversity and obstacles and has allowed me to grow and overcome. The crucial moments and aspects of being an athlete have allowed me to persevere and push through moments I didn’t know I could overcome. It has strengthened my mindset and has allowed me to have an open mind and perspective on life. Being able to have an outlet and do something I love with people who also share the same desire, and passion has helped me become a better person overall.
 
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
In 10 years, I hope to see myself working with my amazing mother in the satellite engineering world. I see how it has changed my mother’s life for the better and I want to make her proud and show her how much I appreciate all that she has done for me. Watching her travel the world and almost being the only woman in her company. Really gave me a desire to also pursue the same career.
