WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because of the smaller community. I believe that I will be able to connect with my peers and professors more than I would at a larger school. Attending Linfield will also give me a sense of relief from homesickness because of how connected the school is to my home, Hawai’i.
 
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means that I can have an amazing education as well as play a sport I love. Even though it will not be easy, I believe Linfield will help me find a balance between my school work and sports.
 
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Sports have always been apart of my life and without them I wouldn’t be who I am today. Volleyball has made me more patient with myself and others, and made me expect the unexpected. When things have been tough, playing sports has taught me that the tougher parts are what make you come out stronger in the long run. 
 
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I really hope I’m still playing volleyball somewhere. I plan on following through to my word of becoming a physical therapist that will help athletes that are in need of regaining strength. I also hope that I will begin coaching volleyball to the younger generation, whether they are 12 or 18 years old, I want to spread my love for the sport just as my former coaches did for me.
