WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I am excited to be a part of coach Doerfler’s first year as a head coach, I loved her vision of the team and overall positive mindset. I also want to become a teacher and Linfield will allow me to explore all aspects of teaching and I am very interested in learning about different culture and Linfield has a solid program to help me do that.
 
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Right now I am in the scary before freshman year stage. I am hoping that all my hard work in high school and at my volleyball club gym will pay off. Being a student-athlete at Linfield means that I’m getting a great education and receiving excellent college level coaching.
 
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? The first day I ever played volleyball was in the seventh grade. My mom signed me up for a 6-week recreation league program, she dropped me off and returned two hours later. The minute she arrived I ran to her smiling, I was so happy! Halfway there, I tripped on my own feet and face-planted, breaking my right arm. I’ve been playing volleyball ever since!
 
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My focus is to become an elementary or a middle school teacher. Linfield is helping me to achieve this by giving me the access to tools and support I need to be successful.
