Andrea Doerfler

Andi Doerfler

Andi Doerfler is in her fifth year as an assistant volleyball coach for the Wildcats.

Doerfler came to Linfield after being the varsity head coach at Prairie High School in Vancouver, Washington, as well as a co-director and top 18s head coach for NW Reign Volleyball Club.

During her six-year tenure as a high school head coach, Doerfler led her team to three state tournament appearances. Her Prairie teams earned three state trophies: third place, fifth place and a state championship. In addition, she is a five-time recipient of the Greater St. Helens League Coach of the Year award.

Doerfler also enjoyed success at the club level, coaching all age groups but primarily focusing on the top 18s team. Her teams competed in the Gold and Platinum divisions within the Columbia Volleyball Region. Doerfler coached athletes who went on to compete at the NCAA Division I, II, and III levels as well as NAIA and top regional junior college programs. She also served as the club’s recruiting coordinator.

Doerfler is a graduate of the Linfield volleyball program, playing four years under coach Shane Kimura. During her playing career, Doerfler was a four-year starting six-rotation middle blocker for the Wildcats. She helped lead her team to a 10-0 conference record, earning the Northwest Conference championship as well as a tri-championship the previous season. Doerfler garnered several conference awards, including being named to the all-Northwest Conference team.

Andi and her husband, Eric, a fellow Linfield alumnus, have three daughters. Away from volleyball coaching, she is an associate professor at Pacific University.
