WHY LINFIELD? I chose to attend Linfield because I wanted to play two sports that I love while receiving a quality education.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means being a great teammate, hardworking player, diligent time manager and focused student. It means pushing myself not only to succeed on the court or field but in the classroom as well.
WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? Abnormal Psychology was my favorite class because the information was interesting to learn about. The professor was understanding and wanted everyone to learn and pass the class all the same. She was also easy to talk to.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My mom is my greatest inspiration. She has worked so hard her entire life, always putting her family first. She has overcome so many obstacles and continues to persevere. I aspire to be like her one day.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... While competing in athletics at Linfield, the greatest thing I’ve learned is that I’m a person before an athlete. My entire life, it has been difficult for me to separate myself from my athletic performance. Last year, I was finally able to come to the realization that, while I’m grateful to be able to participate in athletics, sports don’t define me.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Individually, I would like to maintain an above-average GPA. On the court, I want to continue to have fun and make memories with my teammates while taking home more wins this year.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I am playing two sports. I am driven and always welcome a challenge. It is not going to be easy to play two sports and pursue a degree at the same time but I am excited that I get the opportunity to continue playing the sports that I love.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is the medical pathway. I hope to attend medical school after Linfield and pursue a career as a pediatrician. Linfield is helping me achieve this by providing a quality education within my field of interest.
