WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
Linfield had pretty much everything I was looking for—it is academically strong, it is in the Pacific Northwest, and I get the opportunity to play volleyball! Really, though, when I visited, I was welcomed by the most amazing community of coaches and athletes, and I knew then that it was a place I could call home for the next four years.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete at Linfield means that I get to pursue multiple dreams at once—I don't have to give up my education for my sport or vice versa. I can learn and get my degree while playing the sport I love and being part of the volleyball community. I love that academics don't come second at Linfield; my education is important to me, and I am so glad that it is also important to the people around me.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has given me so much confidence that I wouldn't have had otherwise. Sports have also grown my leadership skills and given me such amazing communities.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
After I get my bachelor's degree at Linfield, I want to get my Master of Arts in Teaching to eventually become a high school math and science teacher, and a volleyball coach.
