WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I was interested in Linfield for the tennis team and education program.
 
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means playing and improving at tennis while simultaneously building chemistry and bonds with my teammates.
 
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Playing tennis has helped me to be patient and calm. It is hard to succeed and strategize when your emotions overwhelm you. It also has made me more kind. When both sides show sportsmanship, the sport becomes more enjoyable.
 
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? In 10 years, I see myself teaching in a classroom. I would love to teach mathematics and am most interested in secondary education.
 
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? The fairness and responsibility class was one of my favorite. I enjoy the math classes and how it is used in the world. This class allowed me to see how data is used and regulated and how it continues to change.
 
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My greatest inspiration in my life is my family. Growing up this meant family by blood and by choice. Through their words and their actions, they have shaped who I am. The person who has shown me the greatest strength is my dad, Brian. He pushes me to become the best version of who I can be, always putting me first while encouraging me to chase my dreams. He always carries the world on his shoulders especially when life gets rough. When I lose hope, passion, or motivation, he is the one who guides me back. He restores the light I need to keep moving forward. I would not be the person I am today without him.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... My childhood coach and friend taught me that success depends on more than just skill. Success depends on your mindset. You must enjoy the process and maintain a positive attitude to achieve your goals. Failures should be viewed as lessons to help you improve. Keeping a light, positive outlook ensures the best possible experience. When you do this, your team, your partner, and even your opponent will all perform their best and enjoy the match as well.
 
AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Enjoy, teach, and learn. I love tennis. Not playing it is difficult, and it has made me realize how much the sport and community mean to me. I want to make the most of every moment of college tennis with the time I have left.
