WHY LINFIELD? I chose to come to Linfield since I wanted to attend a small college and play tennis. When I visited in the spring, Linfield gave me a unique vibe in comparison to the other colleges I visited. I found myself impressed as the students were kind yet focused on their academics and athletics. On the other hand, the coaches of the Women's tennis team were genuine and knowledgeable of the sport, making me feel as if I can grow a lot here as a person.
 
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Having the opportunity to play collegiate tennis means a lot to me as tennis would allow me to further better myself in the game along with strengthening life skills like perseverance, time management, sportsmanship, and more.
 
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am interested in several areas, but my main career is in marketing. Being that Linfield is a small liberal arts college allows me to take various classes in different subjects to help me decide what career would fit me the best.
 
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I took at Linfield was my Cost Accounting course, mainly because of the professor. He was always enthusiastic about what we were learning, even though it was at 8:15 am. Although challenging, things clicked when I went to his office hours, making me enjoy the class. We also did a business simulation, which helped prepare me for the capstone business course simulation.
 
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Going to the beach with friends. I used to hate going to the beach until I went away to college and suddenly had an interest in enjoying the beach.
 
THE GREATEST LESSON I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Do not take anything for granted.
 
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was winning a match against a Division I opponent from Boise State.
 
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? My greatest inspiration has always been my grandma. She has six siblings (including her), and her father passed away at an early age. This meant that she had to help take care of all her siblings since she had lost her dad and was the oldest daughter. Therefore, she was and is very selfless and caring. However, she has many other qualities, such as being hardworking, organized, and knowledgeable. I also look up to how she always tries to do the right thing, even if it is hard. I think about my grandma in whatever I do and try to embody her.
 
AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Always try your best and put in the most effort you can into the team.
