WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOS TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose to attend Linfield because of both the academic and athletic life. I wanted to continue golf in college, and I was offered the amazing opportunity at Linfield. Here, I can receive an amazing education, while continuing my passion for golf.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete at Linfield to me means pushing myself to succeed in both the classroom and on the course. I get to proudly represent the school with pride, and push myself to improve as a student, an athlete, and a person.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has made me a better person in several ways- it's improved my teamwork, leadership, responsibility, patience, and integrity. Although golf is seen as an individual sport, you'restill on a team. Golf has improved both my teamwork and leadership skills because when I see a teammate down, I do everything I can to cheer them up and help them improve. Even those who I'm playing against, if they become noticeably upset, I'll try to lift their moods. I was seen as a person who players loved competing against, and coaches loved talking to because of my uplifting and supporting personality. Golf has improved my responsibility because only I am responsible for how I play, how I act, and for my own things. If something doesn't go as planned, or if I lose something, nobody else to blame but me. My patience has improved because golf is a very patient game which requires time and focus to improve and stay consistent. My integrity has improved as well because golf is a very honest sport which requires you to always count your score and follow the rules, even if people aren't watching.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
