WHY LINFIELD? I chose to attend Linfield because I fell in love with the atmosphere on campus. I was able to pursue my dream major along with playing both of the sports I enjoy. It really feels like my home away from home.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means that I know I am fully supported by not only my friends and family back home but also everyone on campus. No matter whether it is in class, on the course or anything in between, I always know that I have a community behind me.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Some interesting things about me include that I am in the sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma on campus. I hold a leadership position as House Chair in my sorority. I also hold an internship with the Student Nutrition and Activity Clinic for Kids (SNACK) program and I am a part of the research/reference staff at the Linfield library.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is geared towards becoming a nurse practitioner with an emphasis in dermatology. Linfield is helping me with this goal by preparing me through not only their nursing program but also with a minor in biology, which will ultimately help me to enter the field of dermatology.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Sport Psychology is easily one of my top classes at Linfield, especially as an athlete. The course teaches more than just an athletic application of psychology. I learned a lot about the different reasons behind all sorts of things in my life.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…I love to travel. I have had the "travel bug" since I was in middle school when I first travelled to Washington D.C. and New York without my family. Since then I have always loved to explore new places. When I played club volleyball this allowed me to travel around different cities, big and small. My favorite was definitely Denver, Colorado. I even got to travel to Australia the summer before my freshman year of college to play volleyball down under. This experience was amazing because I got to play a sport I loved and also explore a once in a lifetime country. While at Linfield I have been able to explore the state of Oregon since I am not native to the state. My favorite spot is definitely the beach. Also, as Linfield offers study abroad courses, I have been given the opportunity to travel to Italy and Greece this upcoming Jan term!

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? I can’t just choose one inspiration in my life. It takes a village. As a female athlete, the women in my life are at the top of my list, from my mom and grandmothers to my sisters and even my roommates. They each have something unique that I wish to embody as I grow and learn. I set goals for myself, small and big, based on these strong women in my life.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… he greatest lesson I've learned as a Linfield student-athlete is to be an advocate for myself and my teammates. Being able to invest in yourself is the best step toward success. It’s similar to the “All in” mentality we carry here at Linfield.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My goals as an individual is to score and place in the top-10 at the Northwest Conference Championships. I always set a goal as a teammate to be someone my team can come to as well as someone everyone can look up to on and off the course. My goals for my team are to grow and create an inclusive, fun and competitive environment where we can all learn and improve together. We have a chance to place as a team in the NWC and make a name for Linfield women’s golf.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was shooting my college personal record of 90 during the second day of the Boxer Spring Opener in March 2020 at Quail Valley Golf Course. I generated a top 10 finish in the tournament. I also was one of 18 Linfield athletes to be named NWC's All Sportsmanship Team (2019-2020). I was grateful to receive this award as it meant that my respect for all athletes, coaches and officials doesn't go unnoticed and how I wish everyone the best during competition.
