WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
I chose Linfield because it seemed like a school with a close-knit community that could help me learn about my interests and build new relationships. Attending a smaller school has many benefits because it can be easier to reach out for help or gain different opportunities that others might not know about.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete means representing Linfield and showing up to perform my best in every aspect, whether it be competing in tournaments or acing my finals. I want to put my best foot forward and show that you can balance academics with athletics while still participating at a collegiate level.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has taught me how to keep going whenever it gets tough. You can take the easy way out and give up on something you enjoy, but that isn't going to teach you anything about resilience. I learned that when you keep going, you can realize how much you'll miss it when it's gone.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I want to figure out my interests during my college years at Linfield so that I know exactly what career I want to pursue in the future. Finding a career I enjoy is my number one priority because it helps me find something I can do for the rest of my life, while also building a stable financial future. Other than that, just forming lasting connections and building a good life after college.
