PERSONAL INFORMATION
Majoring in elementary education with an endorsement in mathematics and minor in coaching.
Daughter of Alexis and Stacy Bergevin.
WHY LINFIELD? From the moment I stepped on Linfield's campus, I felt like I was at home. Linfield offers everything I need to become an elementary school teacher as I plan to earn a teaching license with a math endorsement and a minor in coaching. Additionally, the women's basketball team has already made me feel like I'm part of a family. The coaches and players made Linfield sound like the absolute best fit for me.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete is very special for me to represent my school as a student-athlete on the Linfield women's basketball team. I get the opportunity to continue my passion for basketball while earning an excellent education that will help me achieve my long-term goals of being a teacher and a youth basketball mentor.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I'm thoroughly focused on both my studies and athletics, I manage my time well so that I can also be involved in many extracurricular activities. I love to be a part of school activities, leadership clubs and finding other ways to be involved with my community, all while being an honor student. I set goals in everything that I do and work as hard as I can to achieve them.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus at Linfield is to graduate in four years with a teaching degree. Linfield will give me the opportunity to not only get a great education, but also the experience of playing collegiate basketball with an amazing team and fantastic coaching staff. After college, I can use my playing experience and my minor in coaching to pursue another personal goal of coaching youth basketball.
