PERSONAL INFORMATION
Majoring in sports management.
Volleyball, lacrosse and softball play-by-play announcer for Linfield Sports Network.
WHY LINFIELD? Linfield provided opportunities to grow as a scholar, an athlete, and as a strong business woman. I know that I could build strong, life-long relationships just based off the small interactions I had on my recruiting trip. The community is like no other, along with the historical success of the athletics department attracted my interests.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? A student-athlete means pursuing your goals and ambitions through hard work on and off the court. I strive to be an asset and leader for my team, but I know I cannot achieve those characteristics without putting the same effort and determination into my academics. Both aspects will heighten my personal worth as a life-long learner and action-seeking human to better the community I hope to impact.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I am highly involved in leadership not only on my basketball team, but also for the overall athletics. I have served as SAAC Co-President for the last two years and I took on this role because I wanted to highlight all of the other unique aspects of every athlete at Linfield. There is nothing or no one like a Linfield student-athlete, and I want to do everything I can in my position to heighten the experience of the athlete.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is in Sport Management. I will be the first student to graduate with Linfield's first ever degree program for Sport Management. I can see myself exploring several routes in sport and hope to see my end goal in either athletic administration or sport related non-profit relations.
