PERSONAL INFORMATION
Earning a Master’s of Science in Business degree from Linfield.
Graduated in the spring of 2023 with a degree in Sports Management.
Daughter of Regina and Jesse Yniguez.
WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I’ve always loved visiting Oregon. The unique atmosphere and school colors of red and purple caught my attention. The women’s basketball coach, Casey Bunn-Wilson, also made an amazing impression and is a phenomenal coach!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield is an honor as we are most of the population. It takes a lot of hard work and dedication on and off the court.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Being a student-athlete makes me interesting and unique because it’s rare when I’m by myself doing nothing. I’m always on my toes doing an activity.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? My parents have been the greatest inspiration in my life because they are the root of what I am today, and I am very grateful for all the lessons they have taught me up to this point in my life.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best Linfield class I have taken is Media Law because it was a subject I wasn't too familiar with, but ended up being really interested in. Kevin Curry is a great professor and makes class really fun!
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… The greatest principle that I've learned while competing in athletics at Linfield has been how the entirety of sports here is one big community that supports one another.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My goals individually and collectively for my team are creating a bond on and off the court that can lead us to a very successful season, as well as create endless memories.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career has been spending quality time with my teammates during our annual retreat and trips to away games.
