WHY LINFIELD?
I chose to attend Linfield for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I loved the atmosphere and college town feel of Linfield, where I would also be able to continue improving and growing as an athlete. I was also inspired to attend Linfield because of my high school hurdle coach, Larry Binkerd, a former Linfield Wildcat. He has always been one of my greatest supporters and made such a difference in my life as an athlete and a person.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a Student-Athlete at Linfield means freedom. Freedom to pursue all my passions equally and to have the support to grow into the best version of myself, as both a student and an athlete. It also means having the grit and humility to keep going, even on the off days. Both as an athlete and a student, I believe you are defined more by how you react to adversity than by your achievements.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Participating in sports has made me a better person because it has given me a space where I can truly feel at home, even when everything else in my life becomes overwhelming. The lessons I have learned from competing as an athlete continue to serve me well, both on and off the track. During all of my time as an athlete, I have also met countless coaches, teammates, and supporters, without whom I would not be the same person.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
In ten years, I hope to continue following my passions in both Veterinary Science and Graphic Arts, in whatever career that leads me to. I also hope to continue competing on the track or on the field, because at the end of the day, I will always be an athlete at heart.
