WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield College because I wanted to attend a school that was smaller in size and on the west coast,. I wanted to be more than just a number at a college and I wanted to feel cared for and a part of something bigger. As well as having the opportunity to play the sports I'm passionate about, I like the philosophy of Linfield athletics and the strong support for student-athletes.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student athlete is huge to me. I love the feeling of learning on and off the field. I've been a student-athlete in high school and I want to transfer that same great feeling of representing your school through sports at the collegiate level.

WHAT MAKES YOU AN INTERESTING STUDENT-ATHLETE? Ever since my freshman year, I have been put into leadership positions and that continued throughout high school. Being a leader in a sport reflects how I am on and off the field. By being a part of sports, I was able to be a role model for peers who play sports and set a good example for a learning on and off the field. I was a team captain for Football, Basketball, and Track. These are all completely different sports and I was able to be a great example for my teammates. They would follow how I act on the field which showed competitiveness, along with respect, and that transferred to the classroom. On top of that, I had to be able to communicate on the field and in school. When group assignments were given I used my voice to compromise and solved any challenges I faced.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I plan on being a Physical Therapist with an emphasis of sports medicine. Linfield has a program that can direct me down the right path so I can be successful in my career choice.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU HAVE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I have taken at Linfield was Survey of Psychology. This class really opened my eyes about the world and gave a better perspective on life and how to approach certain situations. Professor Ray was an excellent teacher and kept the class engaged and I felt like I was truly learning in this class.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY TIME…Talking to new people and making connections outside of the friends that I already have. I value the importance of being able to make connection from all around the world and just to increase the people that I know.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…No matter how hard you try or prep for a challenge you will always face adversity. But it's the fact of the process that will help you move far in life to help you not give up when you're at your lowest point.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD ATHLETIC CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield career was being on the travel roster of the prestigious Linfield football team as a freshman.
