Josh Lovell

Josh Lovell

Three-time All-American and former Wildcat Josh Lovell is in his 13th season as an assistant track and field coach. He oversees high jumpers, triple jumpers and long jumpers.

Lovell was the NCAA Division III national decathlon champion as a junior in 2009 and finished as the runner-up the following year. He was twice honored as Linfield's Male Athlete of the Year, received the 2010 Ad Rutschman Small College Athlete of the Year Award and was chosen as the 2009 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Field Athlete of the Year.

He owns the Linfield record for total points in the decathlon, and also holds top-10 marks in the long jump, high jump, 100-meter dash and the 4x100 relay.

He is married to fellow Wildcat track and field alum, the former Laura Sibley. Both work at Applied Physics Technologies in McMinnville, where Josh, who holds a bachelor's degree in physics, is a scientist.
