Ran distance for the wildcats, participating in the 800 and 1,500 meters.
SOPHOMORE
Letter winner.
Ran a new personal-best time of 2:11.71 in the 800 meters at the Rich Allen Classic.
Secured a new personal-best in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:24.67 at the Oregon State PNW Invite.
Clocked a new personal-best time of 10:58.70 in the 3000 steeplechase at the Lewis and Clark Invite.
Recorded a season-best mark in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:52.25 at the Linfield Jenn Boyman Memorial Invitational.
FRESHMAN
Ran a season-best 4:32.16 in the 1500 meters at the Frank Haskins Invite.
Ran a season-best time of 18:21.72 in the 5000 meters at the Wes Cook Invite.
Recorded season-best time of 11:31.57 in the 3000 Steeplechase at the Linfield Invitational.

Son of Antoinette and Joseph Perez.
Member of cross country team at Linfield.
WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I have to opportunity to compete in a NCAA Division III cross country program, the undergraduate research opportunities and the campus being reasonably close to home.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means I will challenge myself, grow strong bonds with my team and learn to budget my time with other things.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I am mentally strong and can bring good attitude, effort and persistence to unfavorable conditions.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am not quite sure yet but I am hoping to find my career focus at Linfield.
