First year as a member of the Linfield track and field team, will compete in distance events. 

JESUIT HIGH SCHOOL 
Competed in swimming and water polo, including a letter-winner in swimming. 
Competed in 200 Fly, 200 Free, 100 Fly and 100 Free.

Member of Linfield swim team. 
Majoring in philosophy. 
Son of Lee and William Simpson. 
Young brother of swim teammate, Joseph. 
 
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I have at Linfield was ENGL 289, because it combines ecology with creative writing which is already great, but it also takes you on day long field trips to various natural places in Oregon which are super fun. 
 
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Playing viola, watching movies & shows, playing video games with my friends and reading. 
 
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… The motivation that you give yourself and that others give you is the most important piece of successful training.  
 
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... To keep myself healthy, both physically and emotionally, and to become a NCAA DIII National level athlete. For my team I want us to become the fastest school in our conference and to have a good time while we do it.  
 
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was competing in the NWC Championships.
