WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I liked the enthusiasm and energy at Linfield. The sports programs and culture of the school appealed to me. I have loved all sports my entire life both as a competitor and as a fan. Having the opportunity to be a part of the soccer program at Linfield is a great honor. In addition, the campus and smaller size allow me to build relationships with new people. Linfield is exactly what I was looking for in a college/university.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means being able to challenge myself mentally and physically. I look forward to giving my maximum effort in the classroom and on the field. A student-athlete is also someone who prepares themselves for what is ahead whether that is sleeping and eating right a week or studying, planning, and organizing, in advance for a test.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? As a student-athlete, I have developed individual skills that add to the collective team effort. I try to see what the team needs and the end goal and individually do what I can to get the team there. I have a mixed set of skills and have been a leader in multiple sports so I understand how I can organize a group of individuals into a collective unit.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is civil engineering. I hope to get a good foundation the creates the most future opportunity. I look forward to the classes in math and sciences that directly relate to my future career and those that will challenge me to be a more rounded thinker and problem solver.
WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY? Math class was remarkably interesting, and the teacher was extremely outgoing and understanding.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My parents always work their hardest to do what is best, keeping my well-being above everything. They have goals and work to achieve them.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The more you put in is the more you get out.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Succeed with improvements in my talent as well as improvements as a team. Ultimately becoming a winning team.
