WHY LINFIELD? I chose to attend Linfield because of its great location, close to Portland and the coast, as well as its strong academic and athletic reputation. I also appreciated Linfield's emphasis on community.
 
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means it means truly putting your academic career first but also completely dedicating yourself to the athletic side. Coach Belletto really emphasizes staying focused in class, as well as being there for your teammates. I've barely dipped my feet in and it already feels like second family.
 
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Some recent and unexpected health issues completely wasted a summer where instead of training and getting better at tennis, I had to rest and eventually get serious surgery. It's going to be an uphill battle to get back to where I was and compete at a high level but I'm excited for the challenge.
 
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is journalism so I was excited when Linfield changed their Mass Communication major to Journalism and Media Studies. The major is loaded with great professors and I am really looking forward to diving deeper into the program this year.
 
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best Linfield class I have taken was Sport, Philosophy and Society.
 
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Backpacking, biking, skiing or playing another sport.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield career thus far was beating the doubles team from Willamette with teammate, Thomas Foy!
