Mitch Wilson is in his seventh year as men’s golf coach at Linfield. He is also the Director of Golf and has served as co-head coach of the women's program for the past five years. A lifelong amateur golfer, Wilson grew up playing golf on a regular basis.
Wilson attended Bushnell University (formerly Northwest Christian University) in Eugene where he competed in basketball. He graduated from NCU in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. After graduation, he played two semi-professional basketball with the Salem Sabers of the International Basketball League.
Following his college graduation, Wilson worked as a personal trainer for five years and has assisted the Linfield athletic department as a strength and conditioning coach.
He is in his seventh year as golf operations manager and membership relations director at Michelbook Country Club in McMinnville, which is also Linfield’s home course. He supervises the administration of tournaments, junior clinics and capital projects, and manages the pro shop. He currently holds a 2 handicap.
Mitch lives in McMinnville with his wife, Casey, who serves in the Linfield athletic department as women’s basketball coach. The couple are raising two sons, Rylan and Dawson.
