Duane Duey is in his 12th year as head certified athletic trainer at Linfield University.
He oversees the physical and mental care and well-being of over 500 student-athletes while managing a team of four assistant certified athletic trainers and as many as a dozen student athletic trainers.
Prior to coming to Linfield, he served as head certified athletic trainer at Portland State University from 2002 until 2013.
Duey completed a bachelor’s degree in physical education at Western Oregon University in 1993 where he was also a member of the Wolves football team. He went on to complete a master’s degree in kinesiology from Midwestern State University in 1995.
He and his wife, Kim, live in Newberg and have four grown children, two of whom competed in women’s lacrosse while students at Linfield.
