WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I choose to be a Wildcat to stay close to home while going to college. Continuing to participate in the sports I love. The new wrestling program is an amazing opportunity to be a part of from the ground up and to get to help build the program and culture over the next four years. This team will be a part of the wrestling legacy and I’m proud to get to be a part of that while getting an education.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It’s an honor to get to participate in my backyard hometown. To be able to be a role model for the younger generation Wildcats. To be great and uncommon in the crowd; holding myself at a higher standard than average.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? I have played sports for as long as I can remember. It has made me a better person that knows self-discipline, how to take criticism, how to be a good friend and team player, how to be reliable and most of all how to have respect for peers and elders. Things won’t always go your way but it important to continue to grow and learn when they don’t.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? Graduated with a nursing degree, EMT and firefighting. Probably married with kids and settled. Perhaps still in Oregon too. That’s a long ways away. Living for today and soaking in life now.
