WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield College because I wanted to attend a school that was smaller in size and on the west coast. I wanted to be more than just a number at a college, and I wanted to feel cared for and a part of something bigger. As well as having the opportunity to play the sports I'm passionate about, I like the philosophy of Linfield athletics and the strong support for student-athletes.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student athlete is huge to me. I love the feeling of learning on and off the field. I've been a student-athlete in high school, and I want to transfer that same great feeling of representing your school through sports at the collegiate level.

WHAT MAKES YOU AN INTERESTING STUDENT-ATHLETE? Ever since my freshman year, I have been put into leadership positions, and that continued throughout high school. Being a leader in a sport reflects how I am on and off the field. By being a part of sports, I was able to be a role model for peers who play sports and set a good example for a learning on and off the field. I was a team captain for Football, Basketball, and Track. These are all completely different sports, and I was able to be a great example for my teammates. They would follow how I acted on the field which showed competitiveness, along with respect, and that transferred to the classroom. On top of that, I had to be able to communicate on the field and in school. When group assignments were given, I used my voice to compromise and solve any challenges I faced.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I plan on being a Physical Therapist with an emphasis on sports medicine. Linfield has a program that can direct me down the right path so I can be successful in my career choice.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU HAVE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Kinesiology with Cisco Reyes, one of the best teachers I have ever had. He made the course engaging and hands on as opposed to a lecture style type of class. I felt that I remembered all the information and really I was able to learn the material I was being taught.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY TIME…Talking to new people and making connections outside of the friends that I already have. I value the importance of being able to make connections from all around the world with the people that I know.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? Both of my parents. Equally, they have shown me how to become the best version of myself and given me the tools I need to be successful. They inspire me to become a better person, not only as a student athlete but as a gentleman in the world.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…From competing at Linfield Athletics, the greatest principle I learned was discipline. Waking up at 5am to lift and run has taught me to have the mental discipline to wake up and work hard. It also taught me to take care of my body and I've learned to really never trade the ultimate for the immediate.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE TEAM GOALS ARE… My goals are to start my last season at Linfield, leave an impact as a leader, and pass on all my knowledge to the freshmen class in order to keep the tradition of being a great football program. As a team I want us to make a deep playoff run, compete, and win a national title.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD ATHLETIC CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield career was being on the travel roster of the prestigious Linfield football team as a freshman.
