WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I wanted to be a part of the winning culture Linfield has built. I believe I can have a big impact on and off the field during my four years on campus.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means that I’m given the privilege to earn a great education while playing football at the same time. As a football player on campus I’ll immediately be looked at as a role model for other students and will need to help lead the way so as a young man I can be successful in the classroom but also give us the best chance to win games on the field as well.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I’m very focused and won’t let anything distract me. From day one, I know my job is to come in and compete every time I’m on the field and earn my teammates’ respect. Off the field, I won’t be doing much other than studying, resting, and spending time with the right kind of people that have my best interest at heart. I know at the collegiate level athletics have to be treated like a job in order to be great at them. My focus will allow me to play a higher level.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? When football is over for me I potentially would like to get into the ministry field. Sharing the word of God and how he has helped me in my journey could be a very inspirational thing for others to hear as well as myself to share. Whether it be pastoring a church or being the chaplain for a college or a NFL team, I believe I have some things to offer in that career field.

I’m also interested in coaching, I believe I can use my knowledge and experience from all the sports I’ve played and watched to be able to lead a team towards success. Both of the fields are great options for me but I don’t know which particular areas I should focus on. That’s where I hope Linfield will be able to help me figure out over the next four years. By the time I’m graduating, the people I will have met and the experiences I will shared will most likely determine my final outcome on where I want to continue my life.

Coach Smith and others on the staff have worked hard and done a tremendous job making Linfield feel like a place I can be comfortable being at for four years so that I can grow into the best person I know how to be on and off the field.
