WHY LINFIELD? I chose to attend Linfield because I felt it was the best place for me to pursue my goals academically as well as athletically. At Linfield there is a culture of success in the classroom as well as on the field, which is an atmosphere that I want to be a part of, and hope to contribute to and continue to build upon in the years to come.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete has always been a dream and a goal of mine to continue my athletic career into college, and it is an honor to be able to continue my career at a school as successful as Linfield is.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? On top of three-sport athlete, I also play the guitar and the piano.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? My favorite class so far has been Circuits and Electronics II. The course was largely project based and allowed for creativity in design and implementation that I haven’t been able to experience in other courses.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAVE THEY BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? I would say my dad has been the greatest inspiration of my life. He has accomplished a lot through his education and beyond that inspires me every day. He also brings a passion to the little things in life outside of his work that I try to replicate in my own practice.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSONS THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMITING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… I think the best lesson that I have learned in Linfield Athletics is that nothing will be given to you. Working hard in practice sometimes isn’t enough. It is often up to you to find your edge outside of the drills and reps that the rest of your team/opponents are performing in order to jump up that next roster spot or hit the next big mark or whatever it may be.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… I think this year’s football team has big goals to make a deep playoff run. I hope to be a major contributor at wide receiver and put my team in the best position to succeed because of this.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am interested in math and science and have an interest in engineering, but my interests are still quite broad, and I feel that the liberal arts degree will help me be best prepared for a wider range of careers and interests that I may pursue.
