Intense competitor...his mental toughness will be a steadying factor for the entire defense...returns to the team this fall after sitting out all of last year with an injury...starter in '00 when he made 37 tackles...injuries limited his playing time in '99 but still saw action in eight games and was credited with 19 tackles...started four games in '98 and totaled 26 tackles...business major...participated in football and baseball at San Gabriel High School...first team all-conference selection in both sports...named co-most valuable football player...made 103 tackles and two interceptions...high school teammate of Eric Green.
