Mitch Malot joins the Linfield football staff as offensive line coach and run game coordinator.
As a young boy, Malot was exposed to the Linfield football program at an early age. His two uncles, Steve Davis and Craig Davis, played for the Wildcats in the 1970s.
He comes to Linfield from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas where he served as a graduate assistant coach while working specifically with the offensive line. Prior to UNLV, he coached at NAIA powerhouse Carroll College in Helena, Montana and spent two seasons as offensive line coach and run game coordinator at Southern Oregon University. He also coached for two years under former Linfield offensive lineman Tim Frisbie at the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, California.
Malot’s playing career included two seasons as the starting center at SOU in 2017 and 2018. He also played two seasons at the College of the Siskiyous. He completed a bachelor’s degree at SOU in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2019 before immediately joining the Raiders coaching staff.
A native of Central Point, Oregon, Malot graduated from Crater High School in 2015.
Mitch and his wife, Hannah, are raising an infant son, Lincoln, born January 12, 2025.
