WHY LINFIELD? Linfield’s academic and athletic programs are examples of excellence and success. The campus is a beautiful campus and has a lot of neat features and history, as well as my great grandpa went so it holds a special place for me.

WHAT DOES BEING A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? Being a student athlete means to focus on academics and be successful in the classroom, on the field and everyday life. Lead with your peers and help build an environment where everyone can strive and be successful.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? I’ve enjoyed a lot of courses throughout my first year, but none that will compare to Contemporary Business. Lucking out and getting a great professor who made class a joy to be in.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAVE THEY BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My great grandpa is my biggest inspiration. Born during the depression a lot of his life was a struggle, through little education and a lot of hard work, success came. Spending his life making and giving, his company was successful out of necessity, not want. There’s a lot of valuable lessons we miss in our elders, and I’m glad to have not missed his.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports has provided me with many life lessons, and skills, through failures I have learned to persevere and keep my head up. Life will beat you down and keep you there if you let it, and that is evident in sports, take control and overcome the pain and the problems.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Learning how to handle adversity every day. A challenge or problem will find you every day, how you handle it is what matters.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… I came to Linfield to achieve many things; there’s one thing that both myself and this school want. A National Championship.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I see myself as a graduate of Linfield University running a successful company with a family and a home, contributing to my community in any way I can.
