Competed in hurdles, 200m and 1,500m, running a personal best of 26 seconds in the 200m.

Majoring in computer science. 
Son of Gail and Joseph Hammer. 
Born in Ethiopia. 
Will also compete in track and field at Linfield. 
Previously attended Portland Community College and the University of Maryland. 

WHY LINFIELD? Linfield has a welcoming environment, class size and the opportunity to play sports. 

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means time management is extremely important and I need to balance my time wisely. I’ll have to exceed my academic standings in order to continue to participate in sports. 

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Sports help me stay in shape both mentally and physically. They also keep me socially available. 

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I visualize myself working full-time and living a fruitful and balanced life.
