WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I like the small school feel and my whole family has gone here.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means that both school and sports are equally as important to me and that I am able to participate in both things as much as I would like to.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? The reason I started running was because it was good cross training for ski racing. That is what I always wanted to do until I started running.
WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? The best class I’ve taken is Organizational Behavioral Management. I enjoyed this class because it was a perfect combination of my two favorite subjects, business and psychology. This class taught me how to deal with all kinds of personalities and situations within a business atmosphere.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My grandma has been my biggest inspiration. She’s kind to everyone no matter who they are and is always looking to help others. She has taught me that no matter what happens in life, you always need to keep moving forward and pushing yourself. She inspires me to stay active and spread kindness and joy to everyone around me.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The greatest lesson I’ve learned at Linfield is how to create a supportive and inclusive community and how important that community is. I’ve learned that having a community is one of the most important factors of being happy and successful in sports.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY OR COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My individual goal is to be my best self and to improve every year both physically and mentally. As a team, my goal is to have everyone become a team and feel included and supported.
