Biography

UNIVERSITY PREP
Two-year varsity starter.
First team all-conference.
State champion.

PERSONAL INFORMATION
Majoring in journalism and media studies.

WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY? I really enjoyed the documentary filmmaking class that I took Freshman Spring as it was a lot of fun creating a film as a semester long project. Being able to go through all of the different steps of film production and create something that I am super proud of, was really cool!

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My parents have been the biggest inspirations in my life, mainly from how they treat other people and approach every situation. They are such caring and empathic people and treat everyone with respect and compassion. I have learned so much from them about everything from general tips and tricks, knowledge, to life skills and my mentality.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... Everyone is running their own race. Don't compare yourself to other people, because other people are not running your race. Keep your head straight and keep grinding away on your own journey, improving bit by bit every day. This doesn't mean to be selfish and not look after others, but when it comes to personal development, only compare yourself to you. This is especially important in today's society with social media promoting increasingly younger athletes accomplishing increasingly more impressive physical feats. Comparing yourself to them is not going to change where you are at. Not everyone could throw 95 mph or squat 600 pounds at 14 year old, but everyone is special and unique, and everyone is on their own journey to success, however they may individually define it, they just need to trust their process.

AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Continue to improve and develop as a player, individual and academic, and help Linfield Baseball win the National Title.
