WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because as soon as I met the coaching staff and other players I felt as if I was home. The atmosphere of a Linfield sporting event is amazing and it’s something you can’t explain until you’ve been to one.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means being blessed to be able to play baseball and further my academics. Meet guys who are going to be my best friends for life and great coaches who have my back for anything I may need.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I get to play baseball but also be leader of the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and Younglife on campus.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is either sport management or firefighting, I’m connected with such great advisors and professors who are well connected with employers who work my dream jobs. Giving me an abundance of opportunity to achieve my goals!
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD??Sport Data Analytics with Professor Welch. She is always going up and above to provide most informational content to help students learn the most relevant and up to date information. Having professionals to be apart of classes to give even more real life examples they have endured. Very supportive with my athletics along with my academic journey.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST ISNPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My parents as they sacrificed so much time, money and effort to help become who I am today. In my faith with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To help me pursue my dreams of playing collegiate baseball from a very young age. Driving hours on hours to showcases, practices, workouts and making sure they took care of my brother and I no matter the circumstance.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Leading the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, volunteering and leading Young Life.
THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Through my dad the greatest principle I've taken to heart is "Grit". Grit is the ability to get knocked down repeatedly but continue to get up with a laugh and smile to continue to pushing yourself every day. That life is a journey full of highs and lows but the key is the character we build for ourselves to push back against adversity no matter the size of it.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS COLLECTIVELY AND INDIVIDUALLY FOR MY TEAM ARE... To be the best team at the end of the 2022 Season in the Northwest Conference. Have the best well rounded players on and off the field. To have people understand the character that is built through Linfield baseball's Program.
