Jarvis Gomes is in his 17th year as an assistant baseball coach. A 1995 Linfield graduate, he earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Gomes played three seasons of baseball at Linfield and also was an assistant junior varsity coach for one year.
Following graduation, he was a freshman baseball coach at McMinnville High School, then moved over to coach the junior varsity at Sheridan High School. A native of Eugene, he served as head coach at Churchill High School for four years prior to taking a position as associate principal at Tualatin High School.
He and his wife, Leah, have two children, Emma and Kaden.
