WHY LINFIELD? Linfield has a great education system that helps students pursue their careers immediately following graduation. Linfield helps setting up jobs for students after school, so students don't have to go searching for jobs. Degrees from Linfield are also very sought after and many employers choose students who have graduated from Linfield over many other schools.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means I don't only have to perform on the field, but also in the classroom. Being a student-athlete means being a student first and an athlete second. This is because your athletics career might end after college, but your education will get you into the work force. It is important to not rely on sports as you might not always find a job as an athlete, whereas the better degree you have, the better jobs you will find after college.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? As a baseball player, being a student-athlete is almost like working a full-time job. I spend half of my days at the field and the other half in the classroom. The only free time I have is consumed by homework and extra work at the field. Being a college athlete requires you to be at the top of your game at all times which means you have to constantly train to stay in game shape. This takes up a lot of time during the day from practice and extra work to the point where you don't have any free time to do homework. The time spent during the day is like working a full-time job, if not even more demanding than a full-time job.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is exercise science with the goal of entering the sports medicine field of work. Linfield is helping me achieve this career by setting me up with degree specific classes that will help me succeed in this field. Linfield is also helping me in achieve this career from the excellent athletic training facility that I can help participate in for class to help me put my knowledge to work on actual patients.
