WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because of the support it offers its students. Since it's a smaller school I was really looking forward to having a better connection with my teachers and class mates. I also chose because of the swim team and other athletics and the good reputation of its student athletes.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete is what gives me confidence in my ability to do well in every aspect of my career. Having a sport keeps me focused and healthy and it gives me motivation to work harder in my classes. It works the same the other way around as well. Being a student-athlete means I have to stay on top of my work to be on the team. Both the academic side and athletic side work with one another to keep me motivated and focused to do well in both.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? What makes me interesting and unique as a student-athlete is my connections at school. It is so cool knowing so many other student athletes around campus and being able to connect to teachers and my peers through my sport.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? My senior seminar class I am taking this year is the best class I've taken because I finally get to combine all of my knowledge from my career at Linfield and use it in a comprehensive way. I am getting the opportunity to have conversations with peers in my major and really get to analyze through a psychological perspective.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My sister has been my greatest inspiration. My sister has never been afraid to be themselves and has always done what they enjoy and not what others expect them to be. They are one of the most colorful and artistic people I have ever known and has such a beautiful soul.

THE GREATEST LESSON OR PRINCIPLE I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The greatest lessons that I've learned are to; work through the pain because the harder you work today will make you that much better tomorrow, and always being a great sport towards the competition goes a long way.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS COLLECTIVELY AND INDIVIDUALLY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My individual goals are to put my best effort into every practice I go to and to try my hardest to enjoy my last season as much as I can. My goals for the team are to come first at conference for men and women and to keep the energy up at practice and meets so everyone feels supported while they swim.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is psychology and becoming a therapist or a sports psychologist. Linfield is helping me achieve this through their amazing psychology department and the variety in their teachers that have extensive knowledge in their fields.
