WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because being raised in McMinnville, I knew a lot of people on campus. I knew that Linfield had a lot of good classes for my history major as well.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means being able to work on my studies while also being a part of a team that is bigger than the sum of its parts.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I understand that while I do put a lot of time and effort into my athletic craft, at the end of the day I am pursuing an education that will allow me obtain a job that will both fascinate and support me.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My focus is to be a history professor that focuses on either ancient Rome or ancient Greece. Linfield is helping me pursue this dream by allowing me to take classes taught by passionate professors. Who go out of their way to give me the means to construct my passion into a career.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I have taken at Linfield was History of The US West with Professor Lisa Wadewitz. Getting a chance to look into how our nation was formed and the culture that came as a result, was both extremely educational and interesting.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Surfing on the coast with my teammates. As long as I get to spend time with my family, the setting doesn’t matter.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was winning the 400 freestyle relay at the NWC championships and being able to share that moment with some of my closest friends made it a highlight that I will forever cherish.
