WHY LINFIELD? I choose to attend Linfield because of its emphasis of community, small classroom sizes, sports, and the opportunities available while at Linfield and as well as after attending Linfield.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? As a student-athlete at Linfield, I have a sense of value in being part of the time, but also as representation to the rest of the school and the Linfield and McMinnville community.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Being a student-athlete makes me interesting and unique because I was recruited to come here by the women's basketball coach to play basketball. Therefore, I feel wanted for being a part of the Women's Basketball team at Linfield. In addition, I am more than just a student-athlete. Although Linfield has multiple sports teams which means for lots of student athletes who attend Linfield, I am seen as more than just a student athlete to those on campus. Being a student-athlete has taught me qualities that I can carry on for the rest of my life.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is becoming an accountant and becoming a CPA for a fashion company. Linfield is helping me achieve this goal by setting me up with an advisor to help me stay on track to graduate as I am a transfer student, also has provided me with an advisor specific to my major/career focus, and with opportunities to better understand more about the career focus I have currently.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Personally, I cannot choose just one class as the best Linfield class I have taken. Therefore, my top three would be Financial Accounting, The Evolution of Hip-Hop, and Foundations of Education. Each of these classes relate to different interests of mine. Financial Accounting was my first accounting class I took at Linfield which I greatly enjoyed as an introduction to the accounting major. Secondly, I am a huge music lover, and especially hip-hop. Lastly, I wanted to become a teacher before pursuing a career in accounting so I appreciated being able to take a class about something I'm still passionate about it even though it's not in my career choice.

WHO HAS THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My family has been the greatest inspiration in my life. Specifically, my older sister is everything I forever aspire to be in my lifetime. She and I are the complete opposite in some ways, yet practically identical in others. I feel that our opposite qualities attract one another which is why she and I are as inseparable as we are. Without a doubt, she is the hardest working person I know, and has taught me to never settle for less than what I deserve and that hard work beats talent any day. I have yet to meet someone who works harder than she does. Next, my mom inspires me to always chose happiness in any situation. In addition to that, she is more than just my mom, but also my best friend. There is not enough words to describe my mom and what she does for me. She is the light in my day no matter the distance. Finally, my dad is one of the smartest people I know. He knows a little bit about everything and inspires me to be a better version of myself every day.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Hanging out with friends, getting Starbucks or Dutch Bros, exercising outside of playing basketball and listening to music.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… While competing in athletics at Linfield, the greatest lesson I've learned would be to utilize the resources around you. Whether it's your teammates, coaches, athletic trainers, or professors, it is to your advantage to utilize the resources that are given to or are around you.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... As a Linfield student-athlete, my goals individually and collectively for my team are to make playoffs this year and have a winning season.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was playing Pacific for the second time in conference play at home and also when teammate, Molly Danielson hit the game winning shot against Northwest during non-conference play.
